2007 has been an incredible year. We've seen so many young people commit their lives to Christ and start living to reach others, its amazing. Rocknations 07 was just a snapshot of what has happened throughout the year.

My desire is to see the young people of this generation rise up and take hold of what God has got for them, not to be ashamed or timid but to be passionate and non-conforming.
The songs I have written on ‘Give My All’ I guess have this spirit throughout them. Now or never is basically about not caring about what people say or think about you and standing up for Christ who has saved you. I lived the majority of my early Christian walk trying to hide the fact that I was a Christian, denying everything and even going as far as hiding my worship CDs from my rack when my mates came over. Sad? Yeah, but these are the things that a lot of young people struggle with and is the reason why I write the way I do. I'm here to testify that hiding your faith only holds you back from the desires that God gives you. Dropping my pride and fear accelerated me into an incredible walk with Jesus Christ. I wrote Get God Known to provoke people to do exactly that. That doesn't mean we have to picket in our cities, but it just means we need to be Jesus to everyone in our world and reflect His love through the way we live. We may be the only bible people come into contact with. That's the reality.

A lot of the songs I write are quite fast, with a lot of metal influences, as you might be able to tell! I do this because I'm passionate about being relevant for our generation, and I love this style of music. There's definitely a place for every kind of music in worship. If we stuck to the same ingredients our food would be boring and predictable and the same applies to music. I believe God took me away from the secular rock scene to use my gift for greater reasons. Why shouldn't there be metal in church?! Many of the church across the world won't understand why I scream and go crazy, but all I say is that worship is an active expression of your love for God, and that love can be expressed in so many different ways, singing, dancing, shouting, screaming!

I believe we have only just scratched the surface. There is so much available to us in Christ. Jesus himself said that we (the church) will do greater things than He did! Woah, that's insane if you try and get your head around it! So let's just keep loving God and believing for our friends and family to know Him.
